Shunning fame in favour of anonymity, the shy and reclusive The r/K Theory rarely conducts interviews, never performs in public and hides behind the cover of his musical alter-ego.

Entirely self-taught, The r/K Theory first started creating electronic music in the late 90's/early 2000's, but it wasn't until 2019 that he started to put this out into the world, when he signed his first label deal with Machine Control Records. Things moved fast from there-on in, and just a few years later he had a string of releases under his belt on a multitude of labels, as well as number of independently-released tracks.

The r/K Theory flits from genre to genre, refusing to be pigeon-holed and just making what comes naturally, with strong melodies perhaps the one consistency in a world of musical variety. His broad love of music is reflected in his work, which often merges genres to create something that challenges definitions rather than conforming to them. His style has been described as "unique" (in a good way!).
